Welcome to our website, I am a co-founder and director of Integrity PPD.
I started my career in in Midwifery 1994 and have worked more then 20 years in the NHS and in the Private Sector. As well as having experience working with pregnant and new mothers supporting physical and emotional well-being, I have worked extensively with pregnant mothers preparing for birth and covering parenting and early child development. In 2012 I trained to be a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse ( health Visitor) qualified in 2013 and am currently working in a senior role in Public health.
I am passionate about teaching and training and love working with people and communities. I am highly motivated and inspire others to see the best in themselves. I am competent, conscientious, committed and caring. I am an excellent communicator and capable of teaching and assessing at appropriate levels on one to ones and in groups. I maintain high quality standards in all that I do and am flexible and easily adapt to meet identified training needs.
In 2002 I began lecturing in further education where I obtained a Level 1 City and Guilds Certificate in teaching. I gained experience in teaching in Health and Social Care, on the Access Courses, level 1-3 in Early Years Development and became an instructor of First Aid for Adults and Children.
I have been a mentor for Moretolife (UK) for more than 10 years and have regularly taught courses in self-esteem in both the private and funded sectors. Funded courses have included Course for Parents, funding from Sure Start and from Employability in supporting young people into work.
On a Personal note ……
I am married and blessed with 5 sons aged between 11 and 27 and have first hand experience of raising children as well as working on family relationships.
Having experienced depression and anxiety during my teens and early parenting years, I sought help and support in my early 30’s. I learned about the power of the mind and how to understand the impact the mind has on moods, behavior and self esteem. Through my own learning and continuing personal development as well as consistent support from others, I have been able to overcome depression entirely, something I believed I would never do.
I, like my Integrity co founders recognise and understand the the absolute value of having support in life.
My intention is to empower, encourage and support people using both professional and personal experience to deliver top quality training and motivational courses and workshops.
I believe that every child is born beautiful and that raising self-esteem in children is at the heart of creating a positive generation and overcoming poor mental health in our society.
